Today was our first day back in La Paz after going to Huayna Potosi. I think I slept the most I had ever slept before. My watch said I slept for 11 hours and 48 minutes. Once I finally got up, I had missed breakfast, so my dad brought me a hot chocolate. My dad told me that Don, another member of our group decided he would skip Illimani, which is the last of the three mountains. Don also didn’t summit Huayna Potosi and our guide said that Illimani is much harder. Illimani was a trip extension and originally five out of eight members were going to do it, but now only four are. My dad and I had a discussion about our options and we decided to go and try on Illimani. We talked about how our goal doesn’t have to be to summit, but it could just be to beat my record of 18,500ft on Huayna Potosi. We then went into town to the mountaineering store, and my dad got more gloves, and I got an extra buff. We had lunch and ate the world's biggest burgers.

Then we went to a local market called the Witch Market and bought gifts for our family. After that, we went back to the hotel, relaxed for a few hours then went out for dinner. Dinner that night was good but much quieter without the members of our group that had left the day before. Then we went back and went to bed.
Did you eat the whole burger? How was it? The hose fries look delicious! I guess I’m all about the food. Haha!
