Today was supposed to be our summit day for Antisana. We were all ready to go but the weather was so bad that we couldn't even try. So instead we thought we should use our extra day to learn more skills. We drove down to the Antisana Ecological Reserve where there was a river with a bridge over it. We practiced making a system of ropes at the top of the bridge and then rappeled down. Once we got to the bottom, we created another system with the rope, slings, and a tiblock or nano traction. We used this system to go back up the rope. It was very hard work to get back up the rope, but it was important to learn in case we fall into a crevasse.
